Cozy games that don't demand your whole day

The word 'cozy' gets slapped on a lot of mobile games, and plenty of them betray the label with timers, pop-ups and guilt-trips about coming back. A real cozy game respects that your time is yours.

Greenhouse Days is our current favorite example. You check it a few times a day, do a couple of small things, and put it down. It never punishes you for leaving, and it never begs you to stay. That restraint is the whole appeal.

The trap a lot of these games fall into is confusing 'relaxing' with 'endless'. A calm loop can still be paced with care so there's a natural place to stop. The best cozy games always give you an off-ramp.
